Buxton limewash contains ultra fine particles in a controlled narrow size range to give a near colloidal suspension.  This gives maximum coverage and a brilliant rich finish, with minimal stirring.  Carbonation of buxton is extremely rapid, giving shorter maturing time and better permeability than conventional limewashs.  This limewash contains no toxic compounds or solvents of any kind, and once applied, the maturing process re-absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.  Limewash reverts to the natural mineral calcium carbonate (chalk) and old hardened material can be returned to the soil.
